Our Customs & Traditions:

• We celebrate Halloween, Christmas,Hanukkah, Easter, Thanksgiving and Valentine's day.

• Halloween is when we dress up in costumes and go around the block saying, "Trick or Treat" at the doors and then we receive candy from the house owner. We have All Saints Day the day after Halloween, but I don't know what you do on that day.

• On Hanukkah the Jewish people light the menorah & for Valentines Day we give and receive valentine cards some with candy!

• We have Presidents Day and 4th of July.

• On 4th of July there are a lot of fire works & lots of people shoot them of.

• Thanksgiving is always on the 4th Thursday of November. On Thanks Giving every gathers around with friends and family!!!! Last Thanks Giving my grandfather Papi (Popy) burnt the turkey!!!!!!!!! Hannah G:-) P.S For Thanksgiving turkey is usually what we eat.(Cooked of course!) Hannah G:-)

• We have New Year's Day when we celebrate the new year by shooting of fireworks when it's 12 a.m.

• We also celebrate elections & birthdays. On elections we gather around the TV and hope our favorite candidate is elected.

• This year we held the election for president, and an African-American one for the first time, Barack Obama.

• Birthdays are when we get together & celebrate one's birthday usually you have a party and invite your friends who give you presents and your family members do also.
